The Concentrated Care Center 外科手术 Suite is comprised of an 8-room Pre-外科手术 Holding area, 13 operating rooms, and a 16-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). A Preadmission Testing Unit that supports these suites is located in Suite 101 at 550 Harrison.

The 手术室 Suite features a specialty-team model approach to deliver quality patient care. Services represented include: Orthopedic, 神经外科, ENT, 心肺, GU, 妇科, 普通外科, 移植, 创伤和烧伤. Specialty teams work with leading-edge technology including stereotactic radiosurgery, 腹腔镜检查, 和机器人.

The 手术室 supports the hospital's Level-One Trauma Center designation by providing expert patient care 24 hours a day, 一周7天. It serves as the only surgical site in the CNY area for pediatric open-heart procedures, kidney transplant surgery, trauma and severe burn treatment.

Pre-外科手术 Holding Area

This 8-room pre-op unit admits and prepares all surgical patients and their families for surgical and/or procedures that require anesthesia.

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU):

This 16-bed unit is specialized in the recovery of patients undergoing general or regional anesthesia for both surgical and non-surgical procedures. The PACU staff work in a critical care environment in collaboration with the 外科手术 and Anesthesia faculty and residents.

Teaching Sites for Area Nursing Schools

The OR and PACU serve as clinical teaching sites for a number of affiliated Schools of Nursing in CNY.
